Met them at 0630 this morning with my Molly. Got a tour of the facility and Molly got to 1) hunt up a large covey of wild quail just for fun, and 2) run through every duck pond there is. There were already ducks showing up even though the flights have not moved in from the high country yet.
Hunting fields are set up as “stand alone” units and interaction between fields is pretty much non-existent so hunting has that “you or your group are the only ones there” basis. Their birds arrive in about a week. Ground cover is low riparian brush. Thick enough to make good cover for birds but not so thick that the dogs cannot thoroughly hunt it. Zero cactus, zero thorny plants and pretty much zero rattlesnake likelihood! My kind of place!
The roads are gravel/dirt but were dry and I could leave my truck at home (90 miles each way) and drive the Prius into the facility. Signed on as an individual member. Looking forward to chasing birds there throughout the winter. Hopefully Molly will not have too many reasons to give me her famous “what did I bring you along for if you cannot hit the birds” look! -Joe W.

Great place!
They put us in a split field, Jacob put our 2 roosters & 3 hens out in the fields.
No pressure to hunt on us, Jacob checked in on a few times and even cleaned our rooster!
We will be back in a few weeks!!!

Being from utah I was disappointed originally with the lack of upland bird hunting in AZ. That’s Until…. I found Desert Creek!!!
Their crew are all exceptional!. The birds are healthy, fly fast and taste good. The fields are great and range from easy to challenging for any dog. I haven’t done the duck hunting yet but I can’t wait to hit up those ponds and professional blinds once the season starts. I am now a member and if this plays doesn’t change I will have to break the sad news to my girlfriend that I will always be a member as long as I hunt and live in Arizona. -Braden A.
I have hunted many times at Chauncey and now at Desert Creek. Every time had a memorable experience. I have hosted all my nephews and neices and their friends. We have hosted business associates and trap and skeet teams. We have a big youth hunt every year that is a wonderful day of fellowship. I hope to be able to take my grandkids hunting at the club. They have always worked real hard to make sure that every hunt is the best hunt.. The dog work is always exceptional and where else are you going to get an experience like this in AZ. I am happy to be a member of Desert Creek Sportsmans club and I would recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys the shooting sports. -Kenneth S.

What a wonderful experience even after a ton of local rain. My sons and I had a fantastic time at DCSC hunting Pheasants and Chukars. They run a first class operation with great healthy birds. The entire team were outstanding to work with in setting up this hunt. We were paired with a very knowledgeable and downright super guide, Mike. As both of my boys are very proficient with shooting clay pigeons this was there first experience with live birds, and they are still talking about how great it was 10 days later. Mike took time to explain many of the rules in the field when hunting with partners and hunting with dogs, which I was very much appreciated . I would highly recommend and afternoon or morning hunt at DCSC. I have walked many fields in Eastern Wa, SD, ND and Iowa, with and without dogs, only to see the birds fly off 100 yards from the end of the field. It was so nice knowing the birds were there somewhere… I can assure you my boys and I will be back. Thanks to the entire team at DCSC.

First time visiting Desert Creek. They were very helpful in figuring out the best hunt for my son-in-law (a birthday present) and we settled on 8 mixed bag pheasants. Not knowing the terrain we opted to use Mike’s dogs to help us, glad we did. Mike was our dog guide and his pups were awesome! Mike was like a hunting buddy I’ve known for a long time, we got along great. I’ve never hunted with multiple dogs before, so seeing them tag-team in action was amazing. We had a great hunt hunt and flushed almost all of our birds (aka. opportunity to shoot). The terrain is mild for any hunter and the day was great! We plan on going back and looking at memberships (it is addictive). Thanks for a great experience! –Jerry D.

Desert Creek Sportsman’s Club is an awesome hunting experience with a very friendly environment. Not only is Tony a top-class hunting guide, he has also trained my Labrador to point upland birds with incredible style. I would definitely recommend DC Hunt club to anyone that is looking for a quality hunting adventure. –Luke M.
