The Beginning of a Legacy

Desert Creek Sportsman’s Club LLC was founded in November 2018 by Tony and Amy Marquez and updated its name to Desert Creek Hunt Club LLC and took on a new partner, Frank Chance in 2026. It is also the home of Desert Creek Gundog Kennels, which is where it all began with a man, a plan and a dog.

Tony Marquez established Desert Creek Gundog Kennels over 30 years ago where he professionally began training and producing quality hunting dogs. He has also earned many AKC titles in the hunt-test circuit. Having a professional trainer on site is a great asset for clients who need assistance with their dogs.

TONY MARQUEZ: As a professional hunting dog trainer and guide, I had the opportunity of a lifetime to open a hunt club and create an exceptional destination for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts to get hooked on the thrill of upland bird hunting with well-trained gun dogs. Whether you’re here for a weekend hunt or a lifelong tradition, I want this club to be a place where lasting memories are made—where families bond, friendships deepen, and the spirit of the outdoors is celebrated.

FRANK CHANCE: I came to Arizona in the fall of 1982. I spend most of my free time hunting, fishing, and exploring this great state of ours. I really enjoy waterfowl hunting but also have a passion for upland as well. I’ve caught the Boykin bug and now have 3 of them that I hunt over. They’re awesome dogs! I’ve been a member of the club for the last seven years and truly believe we have a great place here. I look forward to serving our clients here at the club and ensuring they have a great experience.
